Homeschool Plan!

Growing up I wanted to be a mom and a teacher so homeschooling Avery is the best of both worlds! Avery does performing arts preschool 3 days a week for 3 hours each day and then we also do homeschooling throughout the week. It’s nothing major or time consuming it just gives Avery and I a chance to do something just the two of us while she learns more and more! Continue reading

My High School Graduation

Seeing all these posts about HS graduation makes me think back to when I finished high school. It was a much different picture but it was perfect!! For those that don’t know, I decided to do my junior and senior year of high school online because Avery was due in the middle of my junior year and I knew I wanted to always be with her. Embracing Sleep (or the lack of!)

I am learning to embrace every season and day no matter what it looks like. Right now it feels like our days revolve around Brooklyn’s sleep (or the lack of it haha). When she was first born she would sleep ALL the time! It was so much different than what we went through with Avery and I thought hey maybe this one will be a great sleeper! How we discipline

Discipline and handling kids being disobedient is a hard topic to discuss. There are a million different ways to discipline and every kid is different so you have to adjust accordingly. Busiest Time of Year For Sure!!

This season brings a lot of things! Fun traditions, great memories and busyness! With a preschooler and newborn the busy season just got busier! Lately I’ve felt like I can’t catch my breath. I’m constantly doing something from the minute I wake up to the minute I go to sleep 7 days a week. And even then I don’t accomplish everything I want to in a day. I’m trying to make the Christmas season fun and memorable for Avery all while I Continue reading

Being a mother of two!

Going from being a mom of just one to being a mom of two isn’t the easiest thing in the world! Sometimes tending to the needs of two kiddos is challenging. I knew leading up to Brooklyn being born things would be different but it hits you pretty hard that first day when you are exhausted from giving birth and can’t give all that you want to both kids. Continue reading

Dear Brooklyn

Dear Brooklyn Belle,
You have no clue how much you are loved already! Your daddy, mommy and big sister talk about you all the time and can’t wait to hold you! Your big sister Avery is insisting that she wants to do everything for you. She wants to change your diaper, burp you, feed you and play with you. She talks to my belly and kisses my belly all the time! Continue reading
