Spring Bucket List
Spring is finally here! I love winter because of the holidays but come January I’m ready for the warm weather. In Tennessee spring weather is usually sunny days, stormy nights, highs of 70’s and lows of 50’s. It’s perfect!! With all this perfect outdoor playing weather I thought I would write out some of the things we want to do this spring and some activities to do with your kiddos! Hope you enjoy! Continue reading
First Time Starting a Garden!
Hey everyone! I apologize for not posting blogs as much lately. This is a super busy time of year for us because my birthday, Avery’s birthday and Josh’s birthday are all within 20 days! We finished everything for Avery’s 3rd birthday party this weekend so the next blog I do will be all about her party! 🙂 Anyways! A couple months ago I decided I wanted to do a garden for the first time this spring. Continue reading
Where did my 24 hours go??
I know for a fact I am not alone when I ask this question! 24 hours seems like so much time but it feels like some days it goes by in an instant and then its 9pm at night and I’m trying to figure out what in the world I accomplished that day. There are days I feel on top of the world and get a whole bunch done but that for sure doesn’t happen all the time. I work part-time at home and between that, the house stuff, being a wife, being a mother and trying to get a little bit of time for myself to work on projects I am busy a lot! I know I could be busier so I treasure the relaxing time I do get. Like right now I am in bed cuddling Avery while I write this blog and it’s so nice! I also think it’s a little bit of my fault that I’m so busy because I hate sitting down and doing nothing so I always have the next thing I want to do or a project I want to start in my head. I have actually been working on taking a little bit of time for myself everyday and either doing a podcast devotion, watching a show, or doodling floor plans for fun haha. This gives me energy to accomplish more in the day. I sometimes can get myself stressed out in my head just by thinking about all I need to do and fixing that is a work in progress. I guess it’s hard for me to see that my daily stuff (working out, 3 meals for everyone, tidying up, school with Avery, practicing ballet with Avery, going for a walk, working from home, laundry, and spending quality time with Josh and Avery) will take up most of my day and if I don’t have time to get other things done in a day that’s okay. I make a daily list and I used to get stressed out if I didn’t accomplish it all by the end of the day but now whatever doesn’t get finished I just move to the next day. That’s an exciting overcome for me haha. It’s easy for me to sometimes feel like at the end of the day I didn’t do enough as a wife and mother but then I remember that Avery and Josh both feel loved and cared for and it’s just in my head that I didn’t do enough for them. Being a mom and being a wife is who I am. I am beyond thankful that I get to be a wife and a mother every day and the love I get back from them is so rewarding! So even though I wish I could function off of less sleep or have the days be longer I am grateful for every second that I have. Being God’s daughter, Josh’s wife, and Avery’s mother come first over everything else and whatever else I have time to accomplish in my 24 hours will  just be a bonus. Here’s to a relaxing Saturday, hope you liked reading this blog!

Fall Bucket List
It’s finally October! We have been having an abnormally warm year in Tennessee. We are still having days in the high 70s but today it was cooler outside so I got to break in my new pair of heeled boots! Fall is my favorite season for so many reasons! The cool weather, the clothes, yummy treats, Christmas getting closer, and all the fun activities! Before each season starts I make a bucket list of all the things I want to do that season to make it special and fun for everyone. Avery’s Swimming lessons
Today was Avery’s last session in her swim lessons and it went great! She usually doesn’t like water in her face and is cautious when it comes to water (which we don’t mind at all!). But by the end of the lesson she found confidence in herself knowing that it was ok to get her face wet. And she even went fully under the water once. I asked her before I did it and she said yes! She afterward told us it wasn’t fun but I’m proud of her for not crying or being upset about it. Continue reading
Joshua David
In the spirit of Father’s Day I thought I would write a blog about Josh. My amazing husband and the best daddy to Avery.
I first met Josh my freshman year of high school on the bus. And now years later we are married, have Avery, living in Tennessee and happier than ever. As I’ve gotten to know Josh and what makes him the way he is I fall more in love all the time.
A few years ago when we found out I was pregnant and that we were going to be parents we kinda freaked out because we were so young. We both loved kids, had helped take care of them before and knew we loved each other. Our main goal has always been to put Avery as a priority and pour our hearts into her. I knew Josh would be a great daddy but I didn’t realize how great he would be. After a long day of work he loves playing with Avery in the bath, reading her books and getting her all excited and awake before mommy puts her to bed haha. And every morning if Avery sleeps with us I wake up to her cuddling up to her daddy and it melts my heart! They are smack next to each other yet still take up most of the bed! He can also make Avery laugh more than anyone. They love playing together and if I ever tell them it’s time to do something they don’t want to do they both look at me and say “what??” with their hands up all confused. Sometimes I feel like I have twins with how much they are alike.
Josh is not only a great daddy, he’s just a great person. He is INCREDIBLY hard working, sweet and has the biggest heart. He is also funny!! He says the most hilarious things off the top of his head. Josh is also selfless, crazy smart, and helps me be a better person. He always knows what to do, what to say, and he challenges me to do better. He believes in me way more than I probably believe in myself. Josh’s arms is hands down my safe place. One hug from him and the way he smells crazy good all the time calms me down in an instant. He’s not the biggest touchy feely guy but he is for me and I love it. Randomly he will tell me he loves me and give me a kiss and my love tank will keep filling up And I love how honest he is. He won’t sweet talk someone if he doesn’t like them but he gives everyone he meets a chance. He makes friends so easily because he’s such an easy person to be around. So many people tell me how blessed I am to have Josh and yet they have no clue how amazing he really is because they aren’t with him 24/7. He is strong but also soft spoken and respectful. I love that he doesn’t yell and that he always talks to Avery so sweetly when she is upset. He really is a gift from God! I have no clue how I got the best daughter AND best husband but I’ll always be grateful!
And that scratches the surface for how much I love Josh and think so highly of him! I hope everyone has a great Father’s Day and pampers all the husbands and dads out there! They deserve it!

Scotland Recap
On March 7th we started our amazing journey across many countries for 2 months. During these 2 months we will be visiting Scotland, Wales, France, Austria, Italy, and London. Scotland was our first stop and we will be leaving here on Monday. So with our trip to Scotland coming to an end I thought I would give you all a little recap of our trip.
We started off the trip by visiting the grocery store and shopping around stores. Their grocery stores are a lot smaller here! Most are the size of a convenience store. We also found the cutest outfits for Avery (I posted a photo of them on Instagram). The kids clothes here are too cute! People in Scotland for sure spend most of their money on their kids! All the kids here have the nicest strollers, cutest clothes, and fancy coats! We also went to 2 villages here, Callandar and Edinburg. Â Â We visited an old castle in Edinburg. (The old prison there smelled AWFUL!!) The villages are so small and there’s one church in every village. And we visited a gorgeous Catholic Church.
We walked around it and of course Avery decided while we were inside of a super quiet church it would be a good idea to scream! Haha thankfully no one was too irritated!Â
We also drank lots of coffee!! The coffee here is amazing!  They use different cream and it always looks so pretty! The food here is also very different! They have some of the same things but it all tastes different. The cheese is stronger and most of their things have a hint of cow taste to them. I would not consider the food in Scotland being my favorite food of this trip but the chocolate is really good! Avery has been loving the huge kinder eggs with princesses in the them.
Josh has had to work 2 expos while we’ve been here so we’ve been hanging out at the apartment sometimes or walking around the city. It’s pretty cold here and people walk everywhere so we are adjusting to that. Josh and I were able to get in a date to Tick Tock Unlock which was so much fun! It’s this mystery game where you get locked in a room for 1 hour and you have to use all these clues to unlock different things and eventually use the keys and codes to unlock the door. We got to bring out our inner spies haha. From playing that game I learned that Josh is WAY smarter than I am and that we work great together under pressure! We finished with time to spare and we were in the top 10% of people that finish because it is rare to have a group of 2 finish.Â
We are now ready for our next adventure in a new country! At the end of our time in each country I’ll be posting a recap of that trip. 🙂 Now I am off to enjoy a piece of chocolate! Have a great day! Â
