Brooklyn’s 1 Year Letter

Dear Brooklyn,

You are one!! How in the world did this year fly by so fast?! I feel like it was just the other day we were on our way to the hospital about to have you in the car haha. But I also feel like you’ve always been with us. Our family isn’t complete without you and we all love you so much!  We prayed for you for so long and having you is so special to us! We prayed for a little baby that felt like a baby (because your sissy always felt so grown up to us) and that’s exactly what we got! You are our petite, feisty, silly, independent, dancing, adorable, strong little girl!

Embracing Sleep (or the lack of!)

I am learning to embrace every season and day no matter what it looks like. Right now it feels like our days revolve around Brooklyn’s sleep (or the lack of it haha). When she was first born she would sleep ALL the time! It was so much different than what we went through with Avery and I thought hey maybe this one will be a great sleeper! Brooklyn’s Nursery Reveal!

We have finished Brooklyn’s nursery and I’m so excited! I’m 34 weeks along and it’s nice to have the major task done in case she comes earlier than expected. Avery didn’t have her own room until we moved to Tennessee so it was very exciting designing and making things for a nursery this time around. We decided to go with lavender, gray and white for her room because Avery’s room right across the hall is pink, gray and white. I love walking by and seeing two sweet little girl rooms all done up!

Budgeting as a family

Hello hello everyone! This is my first blog since Josh and I announced that we are pregnant with our second baby!! 🙂 We couldn’t be happier and Avery is so excited to soon have a little brother or sister! I am only 7 weeks but we got a little excited to tell people haha. With a new baby comes lots of costs! Even if we have another girl there will still be purchases to be made and everyone knows babies aren’t cheap. Continue reading
