Last week I showed you guys my new vanity and a look inside all the drawers so this week I thought I would share some of my beauty must haves. I am in no way a beauty expert but I love beauty products and finding things that really work for me and my skin. I have super sensitive skin so it’s nice to have products that work great and are easy on my skin. All these products might not work for you but it’s always fun to give some of them a try.Â
Starting with random beauty stuff in this picture I have St. Tropez bronzing mousse. This stuff is the best! I’m super pale and this mousse gives me an instant glow that doesn’t rub off unless you really scrub it with a towel obviously. But it won’t come off on your sheets which has happened to me before with other tanning products and it’s the worst! Then there’s my Clinique moisturizing lotion. I have tried several different face lotions and this is the one I always go back to because it doesn’t clog my pores or feel too heavy. I also LOVE my SkinCeuticals face sunscreen. This sunscreen has zinc oxide and titanium dioxide which are key for a sunscreen really working and lasting long. A lot of sunscreens don’t have these ingredients so check the labels! This sunscreen is a bit expensive but you need very little for your face so it lasts a long time! Also before I put my tanning mousse on I put The Body Shop body butter on my elbows, knees, hands, and ankles so that they don’t soak up too much of the coloring. And my favorite chapstick will ALWAYS be Carmex! I love lip glosses but I use my Carmex the most and love the smell of it haha. I always have to have something on my lips because they dry out so easy. I also recently started using this new natural Piper Wai deodorant and I love it. A lot of normal deodorants contain aluminum which is really bad for you but most natural deodorants don’t work very well. But Piper Wai deodorant is different and works great! I love the tea tree smell of it and it is a different consistency then most deodorants but you get used to it and it doesn’t make marks on your clothes. Now the last item in this photo is Smile Sciences whitening kit. I have tried Crest whitening strips but they really irritated my gums and didn’t work as well so I decided to give this a try and I’m very happy with the results! No irritation which is actually shocking for a whitening kit and I know my teeth look better than they ever have in the past.
Now this is a photo of my make up beauty must haves. First is Anastasia Beverly Hills glow kit. The bronzer in this is really nice and I love the blush/highlighter. This is a really nice pallet in the summer! Next is L’Oreal True Match Lumi Cushion. The coverage on this is amazing and I love the way it applies. Plus it’s the cutest compact foundation I’ve ever seen. I actually bought this Sally Hansen airbrush face make up by mistake. I thought it was a tanning lotion for the face and was going to return it but after trying it I use it almost daily. It makes my face tan without covering all the things that make my face mine and it literally feels like I am wearing no face make up which is the BEST! Next is my all time favorite favorite favorite mascara L’Oreal Voluminous mascara. As you can see from my vanity blog post I have a lot of mascaras but I always end up using this one for good reason! Next is Butter Bronzer. If you look this bronzer up the first thing you’ll find about it is how amazing it smells. It smells exactly like the beach tanning Barbie that I had as a kid and it makes me feel like I’m on a tropical island. It also goes on really nice and is the perfect color. The next product is Urban Decay eyeshadow primer. I used this on my wedding day and my eyeshadow stayed on all day and night. Also when I’m not using my glow kit on my cheeks I’ll use the Cover Girl instant cheekbones. I love blending the colors in and that they give you 3 gorgeous colors! Last for make up must-have’s is my Calvin Klein eyeshadow palette. I forgot to take a picture of the eyeshadow colors inside but it comes with eight gorgeous colors! I also used this on my wedding day so it’s special to me and the pigment is amazing!!
The last photo for my beauty must haves blog are my hair must haves. First I have my Conair 1 inch curling iron. I actually use this kind of like a wand in the sense that I don’t use the clamp I just wrap my hair around the barrel. Next I have my wet brush. This is the only way I can get my knots out after the shower without destroying my hair. And of course I have my teaser. My hair is super flat so this teaser is perfect for giving it a little body. Next is L’Oreal nutri-gloss glossing mist that gives me that shine brunettes have for my blonde hair. And my Pantene air spray hairspray holds my curls but lets me still run my fingers through which is something I do a lot during the day! Last but not least is my Dove dry shampoo. I wash my hair every three days so the other days that I don’t wash it I use this to make it smell nice and get rid of the oils. Plus it gives my hair some body!
And that is my list of beauty must haves! Sorry it was such a long post I had a lot of things I wanted to share with you guys. I hope you liked hearing about all these products and let me know if you try any and find them working for you!
